What was the highlight of Cubo Apartments

Wonderful modern apartments, in a great location, run by a lovely family.

On arrival Frederico gave us a warm welcome and offered us drinks on the terrace. Accommodation was a spacious 2 bedroom apartment, and was lovely, clean, and with modern decor. We had everything that we needed for our 3 night stay. The balcony had a great view across the Bay of Naples to Mount Vesuvius. Breakfast each morning was excellent and cooked the 'Mama'. The local train station is 5 mins walk away. 15 mins on train to Sorrento station.....return ticket for 2 people, less than 10 Euro! There are also a number of restaurants close by. We ate at a couple of them, and had lovely meals. There is also a parking garage across the road, with a discount for staying at Cubo (15 Euro/day) Great location for Sorrento and also the Amalfi coast. Highly recommend a stay here.

What was the highlight of Cubo Apartments

A very relaxing and comfortable stay on the Amalfi coastline with great access for day trips.

The breakfast was amazing - fresh local fruit, yoghurt, homemade pastries, croissants, cheese omelettes and the tastiest tomatoes drizzled in olive oil and garnished with fresh herbs ... and of course the cappuccinos that I could not get enough of. The location was absolutely perfect - less than a 5 minute walk from the train station and/or the bus routes. You are in the heart of Vico Equense and everything is accessible by foot - we enjoyed a lovely dinner out on our first night, but ate in the following two as we profited from the many food markets in the area, and the kitchen in our Cubo apartment was fully stocked - plus, we could enjoy a lovely dinner along with local Falanghina wine while taking in the sea view. Sorrento is just a 10 minute train trip away and from there you can access Capri, Positano, Amalfi, Ischia by ferries. The family that hosted us were absolutely lovely and very helpful with our questions.

Exceptional

This was the perfect place for our family. We booked two apartments for our party of eight, a two-bedroom for my husband, myself, and our grown daughter and her fiancé. And a one-bedroom for our other daughter and her family of four. I’ll start with the fact that the family who runs the Cubo apartments are the most gracious and welcoming people we’ve ever met in our travels. They greeted us with a refreshing welcome drink when we arrived, and each morning, they treated us to a full breakfast of fresh fruits (grown in their garden), home-baked pastries, homemade jams, eggs, coffee, tea, and juices. The apartments were clean and well-appointed, with living rooms, full kitchens, a tea kettle, towels, hair dryers, and a washing machine. Keep in mind there’s no dryer, but we hung our clothes to air dry without a problem. We agonized over which city to visit (Sorrento, Positano, etc.) but landed on Vico Equense, which turned out to be the most charming town and quite possibly my new favorite Italian location. We spent a little more on transportation when we visited Capri (about 100 Euro) than if we’d stayed in busier Sorrento, but the manager of The Cubo Apartments helped us make the arrangements and the extra cost was well worth it! (You can also take the train, which is considerably less expensive.) There are plenty of excellent restaurants nearby, and we spent many evenings just sitting on the rooftop terrace sipping wine and watching the sunset or fireworks. I almost don’t want to reveal this secret gem because I want to keep it to myself, but we will definitely be back to visit both Vico Equense and the Cubo Apartments!

Beautiful apartment very comfortable and homy. Enjoyed staying in very much!! very nice and tasty breakfast the best coffee I had in Italy.. the stuff nice and helpful the parking is in a garage near by

the city is not the center of things, but the local beach is 12 minutes walking and is okay..

Incredible Stay - Beautiful Property, Family-Friendly Facility, and Awesome Hosts

Cubo Apartments absolutely made our trip exceptional. I have to start with the owners - Anna and her family (including Federico, Angela, Stefania). What wonderful people! They take pride in Cubo, which is evident from how beautifully maintained the property is. The views are glorious, the rooms are spacious (we stayed in Africa and Europe, and both were fantastic), and there are large balconies to be able to unwind after a long day touring or at the beach. "Breakfast included" is an understatement - we woke up looking forward to a delicious breakfast everyday, cooked by our host (Anna) with fruits and veggies straight from her organic garden. Everything down to the olive oil is homemade - another nod to the exceptional quality they provide at every step. We had wanted to visit the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento, and we booked as a family - my parents (in their late 60s/early 70s), my husband and I, and our two kids (7 and 5). Vico Equense was a perfect departure point for excursions. Cubo is literally 2 blocks from the train station - an easy walk, even with bags. We booked a boat tour of the Amalfi Coast that picked us up at our door (and after seeing the crazy September-busy Amalfi Coast, we were thrilled that we had chosen to stay in Vico!). We were able to spend an afternoon at the beach in Vico - and a full day at a most spectacular beach club (Il Bikini Club, recommended by Federico). Trains come every 30 minutes or so to go to either Naples or Sorrento. This location was critical for being able to have a smooth trip. When my son's friends have asked about our trip, he immediately raves about Anna and our stay in Vico at Cubo Apartments. What an incredible experience! We hope to come back again soon.

An excellent stay in the heart of Vico Equense well positioned and with great hospitality

We were welcomed by Frederico and showed to our apartment which was light, bright, well equipped & spotlessly clean with amazing views of Vesuvius. We actually had 3 balconies! There was a washing machine and airer which was useful. The apartments are within easy reach of the station for trains and buses. It’s a great base for exploring the Sorrento & Amalfi coasts. You can also get a ferry from Vico to Capri. The breakfasts with freshly baked pastries and bread was amazing and very hard to resist. We felt we were part of the family and nothing was too much trouble would definitely recommend.

The only thing to highlight is the apartments are next to a very busy road that runs through Vico from Naples to Sorrento so the traffic can be noisy. It didn’t bother us but can imagine others might have trouble sleeping. Everything else was perfect.

What was the highlight of Cubo Apartments

A fantastic place to base a vacation.

The location of the apartment was fantastic, as were the amenities. The apartment has a modern control system, and air-con, as well as washing machine, fridge , freezer, steam iron, two tv's and dishwasher. The family who own and run the apartments are extremely friendly and helpful. The lady who does the breakfasts has two gardens where she grows her fruit and veg. Be prepared for an excellent breakfast of fruits, homemade pastries and bread. The tomatos which can either be included in an omelette or on their own are delicious.

The apartment is on a busy road so there is road noise at all times of the day and night.

Really nice place to stay.

+ Owners. Family owned property with lovely people in it. Always ready to help you with anything. First morning we had a little language barrier, but that was sorted out in a heart beat, and after that, no problems at all. Very lovely family and always have to give good feedback when someone is giving attention to our 2 year old son. They were fooling around with him, which is always nice to see. + View. Amazing view from the balconies. + Location. Good restaurants nearby, parking garage other side of the road, 300m to train and bus. Really easy to move around. + Beach. Great beach "near by". So going to the beach takes 15min to walk, because it is downhill.... coming back up in that heat.... exhausting with strollers. Good thing is that there goes bus in every 30min up and down so that is great option to use and costs only 2€. + Breakfast. Lovely lady makes a breakfast to you, cooks what you ask. Good breakfast. + Room. Big clean room with big kitchen. + Nice breakfast terrace outside. + Clean. + Washing machine for clothes.

- Aircon. This is little 50/50. The AC is blowing cold air to the bedroom and to bathroom (cold bathroom not the nicest thing), but bately to the big livingroom area. Even when you keep the setpoint as low as you can, it does not make the room cool. Felt like the vents to the living area are glogged. - Shower. The shower closet is really small. It was very frustrateing to try and wash yourself in that tiny closet. Additionally, there is no storage level for any luquids in the closet, which was annoying.
